Helen Quinn wins Matteucci Medal

SLAC Professor Emerita Helen Quinn has received the 2024 Matteucci Medal  for her fundamental contributions to the field of physics. Established by the Italian Society of Sciences in 1870, the award is named for and was originally funded by Carlo Matteucci, an Italian physicist and neurophysiologist who was a pioneer in the study of bioelectricity. Quinn gave a lecture, titled "Mistakes on the Way to a Good Idea"  (video) at the award ceremony in Rome on May 23, 2024.
